The tickers - Stock Quotes Module, Currencies Module, and Futures Module - allow you to display  into selected positions (left, top, user2, right etc.) scrolling or static information about the chosen symbols/currencies - you can see them working in vertical/static mode at http://finance.wis.ro/ (1st on left column - the Quotes module, 1st on right colum - Currencies module) and - scrolling - the Futures tickers.

For each of them one may add up to 3 tickers, entering there the symbols you want to be displayed. The data is refreshed via AJAX (no page reload needed) automatically or manual, according to your configured options. You can see more examples of usage here and here.

WISro Yahoo Quotes ticker can also display the comparison chart for each of the 3 tickers lists - the image is automatically generated for the symbols, according to user's chosen options (chart size, time frame, chart display options).

WISro Yahoo Futures contains library for NYMEX traded commodities containing both symbol's description and termination of trading schedule.

The Module uses automatic symbol naming based on current date, configured time offset and termination of trading from the library (if data listed there for the commodity) - for example, in the ticker one may add CL (Light Sweet Crude Oil) and the module will display the information for the next traded month, if no other time offset specified, adding the month code, year and market termination (for August 22, 2010, the result will be CLU10.NYM and the data will be retreived for September 2010).

The WISro Yahoo Stock Quotes Component is designed to display full information about the traded symbols.

The information is displayed, as configured (chosen fields from the backend configuration) , both for category and symbol pages:

• in category's view (each symbol belonging to that category displayed as a row in that table), with click-on-table ordering;
• in symbol's details page - it display the full symbol's information from Yahoo.

The symbols are grouped into categories, allowing the user to add ordering and number limitation (e.g. you may create a top 10 percent change in one category, a top 5 loosers etc).

The component includes an AJAX search module, to locate and display the symbols entered there.

WISro Yahoo Quotes component also contains a content plugin to insert the details about one symbol to an article. This way, if you want to create an article about Yahoo and embed the data from YHOO symbol, use {WISroYQ symbol='YHOO'}.

The details page of the component also displays, besides those information, a technical analysis page, where you can build your own chart for the symbol and a historical prices section.

The backend administrator interface of the component contains a general configuration section (options for Cache, display, which fields will be displayed in category's table and detailed view, chart configuration options), categories and symbols management interfaces.

The WISro Quotes Component and Quotes ticker module have some cross-linked functionality:

• the stock quotes tickermay use the category's symbols define din component, including the ordering information and number limitation
  
• the quotes module can be configured to display data from a specific category from the component (as you may see at finance.wis.ro , in the left side the module displays data from Indices category );
  
• the module can be configured to use the symbol's description from the component's data instead of default naming from Yahoo (often trimmed) and link the symbol from the ticker to its details page of the component.
